Warriors Karate - Age 7 to Pre-Teen
The well-rounded teachings of martial arts can positively impact kids by enhancing their life-skills and placing emphasis on their values and attitudes. At Circle of One Marital Arts and Fitness in Bay Shore, NY our Warrior classes are structured for children ages 7 to teen. Our classes teach MMA, martial arts and self defense techniques that build strength, endurance, flexibility, posture, balance and coordination. While the physical benefits of our classes are undeniable, there are many non-physical benefits our students learn as well.
Our Classes Build Self-Esteem, Focus and Self-Discipline
Although competitive sports are nice, not all children excel at them, these sports can lead to diminished feelings of self-worth. Martial Arts is an excellent confidence booster for your child as it eliminates the need for them to compete or compare themselves to their peers. At Circle of one Martial Arts and Fitness we encourage our students to draw on their own strengths and strive for their personal best. Because of this our students are more confident and are able to face life’s challenges head on.
The mental focus that’s required to execute and learn the martial arts moves taught at Circle Of One Martial Arts and Fitness can spill over into your child’s everyday life and eventually improve his/her study habits, school performance, listening abilities, and also his/her ability to follow directions.
Self-Defense as a Necessity Not a Choice
You never want to think about it, but there may come a time when you child is forced to defend himself against someone trying to do him harm. At Circle of One Martial Arts and Fitness we DO NOT advocate violence, we teach our students to do their best to avoid confrontation, but there are times when it is necessary to physically defend yourself. We will teach your child the skills they will need to defend them and escape safely. By learning and practicing martial arts and self-defense techniques your child has a better chance of catching an attacker off guard and escaping to safety.
